The beginning of the adventure

This is the first post of many as I intend to catalog all of the experiences, sites, lessons, discoveries, and well, EVERYTHING! There is so much that I want to share and remember.

To start with, this is one of the first pictures of our new "home" in Europe. We were told of an opportunity with my husband's job that would take our family overseas for a few years. When we first heard of it, we all discussed it as a family and amazingly everyone agreed to go if we could. Then it became a reality. My son is 14 and my daughter is 11, and while they have many friends in our Midwestern US home town, they also saw the irreplaceable experience in living abroad. So the biggest part of this story and its success is based solely on the attitude with which we are approaching this move...and this is why we have called it "Our Family Adventure."
